From humble beginnings, Jaye Jones has defied limitations of stereotypical outcomes for young, poor, Black boys. He's understood the importance of respect, fairness, and plain language since being identified as a talented and gifted student in second grade. His God-given ability to transform uncomfortable situations into lessons of relationship-building is remarkable and evidence of a talent that cannot be easily taught. From perspectives as a teammate and as a leader, Jaye has received strong accolades of directness and fairness that exacerbates an atmosphere of trust and understanding, with the belief that anything can be discussed within the borders of education and mutual respect.
